I grew up in the small town of Sobótka ([sɔˈbutka]) in Lower Silesia. It has been famous for millennia due to its solitary Mount Ślęża ([ˈɕlɛ̃ʐa]), the object of worship in many religions, and only recently for its wineries. Since then, I have stayed in many fantastic places worldwide – Wroclaw, Saint Petersburg, Warsaw, Chicago, Rotterdam, and Florence.
After my Master Studies in Economics (Warsaw School of Economics) and Law (University of Warsaw), I completed the international EMLE Programme and was awarded the Academic Degree of LL.M., ‘European Master in Law and Economics.’
I am a PhD researcher at the European University Institute in Florence, supervised by Professor Nicolas Petit. I am also pursuing postgraduate studies at the Brussels School of Competition. My PhD research project covers the influence of economic theory on competition law enforcement, particularly the role of complexity science in the economy of digital capitalism. I enjoy many side projects, usually involving the history of economic thought.
Besides working and studying, I read all kinds of classics — poetry, popular science, drama, graphic novels, prose, and essays [library]. For my well-being, I practice martial arts, mainly Muay Thai, and follow a vegan lifestyle. Last but not least, I find a lot of entertainment and inspiration in working on our shared projects with my visual artist wife.
